Awardco content displayed on screens around the workplace is a great way to ensure every shoutout is seen by every worker. This includes deskless or frontline workers, who may lack regular access to laptops, intranet, and personal devices on shift.

LONDON, 3 October 2023 – ScreenCloud, a market-leading digital signage company, has announced it is integrating Microsoft Azure to its workplace productivity solution. The integration is designed to improve employee engagement and elevate workplace productivity through seamless integration with Microsoft productivity applications. The new solution is available through the Microsoft Azure Marketplace which reduces billing overhead on finance and procurement teams.

ScreenCloud integrates Azure Kubernetes Services and Azure DB for PostgreSQL among other services to deliver a solution that allows organizations to display real-time information from Microsoft applications such as Teams, Power BI, Viva Engage, and SharePoint directly on workplace screens. 

The integration will enable organizations to unlock efficiencies in employee communications and aid in improving productivity and compliance.

We have made the following updates for your benefit:

Updated the language and re-formatted the Terms to ensure your rights and obligations are clearly set out

Clarified which laws govern your Agreement with ScreenCloud and updated certain payment terms based on the entity you are transacting with

Inserted the option to register your account via Single Sign On for an additional layer of safety for your account 

In order to continue providing you with the best possible service while also dealing with rising costs, we have inserted an industry-standard right for ScreenCloud to increase the price of the Services from your next Subscription renewal. 

Integrated our Code of Conduct, so you can be assured of our standards and values

Note: These updates will apply to new Order Forms (or renewals of existing Order Forms) effective on or after December 1st, 2023. Feb. 19, 2020  – Today we have announced new capabilities to ScreenCloud to the world, based on a completely re-engineered product thatwe have been building in the background since 2017. Based on feedback from our strong customer base (over 8,000+ of you now - wow), ScreenCloud’s new features are in response to the changing needs of those who are looking to communicate better. 

If you joined ScreenCloud at the beginning of 2020, you may already have seen, and be using, these features already.

Smart scheduling: Managers can schedule content in advance and choose expiration dates for automatic content removal to ensure better content governance.

Screen takeovers: Users can now cast content to one screen nearby - or hundreds of screens around the world before returning to a regular program schedule.

Full remote control: Users can now upload, edit and change content directly from their smartphone, as well as their PC, from wherever they are.

Surface more voices: Five levels of granular user permissions and the new Channels/Playlists formula means every team can contribute to content.

Create branded content: Managers can use the new Canvas app to design screen-ready content like posters and notices inside ScreenCloud, with brand images, logos and colors. 

Security: ScreenCloud now offers the ability to integrate with major identity providers, alongside two-factor authentication and user audit logs. 

We have focused on innovating and optimizing our core product in response to maturing digital signage use cases, where the need has extended further than just a simple way to send content to screens. You spoke, we listened. Our Apps are at the center of what we do here at ScreenCloud and we want to make sure everyone gets the message on the screen – no matter what language. So starting today we’re adding language support to our apps.

You now have the option to choose between English, Spanish, French, Dutch and German for apps like Weather, Event Calendar, and Currency. This is just the beginning. We’ll be adding more apps and languages so watch this space closely.

For our Event Calendar and Weather Apps, all you have to do is pick the language you prefer. After you add your apps to the screen, the display will be automatically translated to the language you chose.

Our Currency App has no language restrictions. You can pick your own title in any language you want. 

For example: Taux de change (French), Wisselkoers (Dutch), Wechselkurs (German), Tipo de Cambio (Spanish). You can even pick a title in Greek “Συνάλλαγμα”.

At ScreenCloud we are committed to protecting our customers’ personal information. We wanted to explain the steps we take to do this within ScreenCloud.

We have a comprehensive Security Policy which everyone who works here has to adhere to. It covers the steps we take to protect physical access to personal data via our computers and devices, as well as the software that we use. The policy makes it clear how and why we collect data and that safeguarding that data is a top priority. It also details the company’s policy around responding to a potential breach of data including reporting breaches as required under the GDPR.

We are not in the business of collecting data that we do not need. Rather, we only collect and store data that is needed to run our business effectively. However, the data we do collect may sometimes be of a personally identifiable nature. In order to operate our business we need to collect three types of data:

1.     Customer contact data. This is normally the person who orders our service or is the contact point for billing queries. We typically need their name, address, email address and phone number. We also collect historical purchasing data. We do not collect credit card details as these are handled directly by our payment handler.

2.     Data that is uploaded to ScreenCloud to be shown on the screens that people are subscribing for. This may or may not contain personal data, depending on what our customers choose to upload to the system. The main point here is that we do not mandate what data is uploaded to our system, but we accept that for some customers they may choose to upload personally identifiable data. For that reason, we treat this data with the same degree of importance that we would for customer contact data.

3.     Employee or potential employee data. People applying to work for us and those that do work for us will have sent us details including Resumés/CVs which will inevitably contain personal data. Employees also provide us with other personally identifiable data that we use to be able to pay them and pay taxes.

Making sure people know why we collect their data

We need certain data in order to be able to deliver the service that our customers pay us for. But like most companies, we also may use this data to tell our customers more about the service or to survey their opinions about us and our future plans. We have taken steps to make it clear to anyone whose data we intend to hold, why we need the data and what it will be used for. We also give people the option as to whether or not they want us to use the data in this way. 

We only hold onto data for as long as is needed to manage our business, be responsive to customers past and present and adhere to any legal requirements that may arise from time to time.

We work with a range of carefully selected suppliers in order to deliver the service we provide: these range from the people we use to host content to the companies that manage subscription billing on our behalf. Where we identify that any of our suppliers may have access to data we ensure that we have an agreement with them that they also have rigorous protections in place. In most cases, our suppliers are established businesses such as Amazon Web Services or Salesforce who have every other one of their customers asking for the same agreements to be in place, and so they are fully prepared and aware of the requirements that GDPR places on all of us.

At all times, our aim is to be open and transparent with individuals and the data we hold. We regularly review our policies and welcome any feedback or suggestions our customers have.
