Please note: As of July 2025, The current version being released is 3.0.18 and there isn't a set time for the full production upgrade. This is the version you can test with Canary OTA.
The missing operating system for screens just got better - ScreenCloud OS 3.0 production version is finally here
Following three pre-releases and months of customer testing, ScreenCloud OS v3.0.14 release candidate is available today and we have begun rolling out via the Canary OTA update channel. If the rollout proceeds smoothly, the full production upgrade is set for Monday, November 4th.
What is included in the final version?
Built from the ground up, ScreenCloud OS 3.0 delivers enhanced performance and security, thanks to core updates to Linux and Chromium, as well as up-to-date drivers and security patches. We have also added the following new features:
⭐ HDMI CEC display settings control: The ability to manage display power on/off and lock the input source.
⭐ Audio Output Via the 3.5mm Analog Audio Jack: Support for audio output via the 3.5mm analog audio jack on the Station P1 / P1 Pro.
⭐ Display Settings Control: Support for unique display settings. Set the resolution, refresh rate, and scaling of your display. It’s possible to do this remotely via the RDM Console or while provisioning a ScreenCloud OS device using the on-screen UI from the side menu.
How to Test ScreenCloud OS v3.0.14
As this is a major ScreenCloud OS release, we encourage you to test the release candidate on one or two devices. For instructions, please refer to this help article. You can also see this help article for details on how to test all the new features in ScreenCloud OS 3.0.
We have thoroughly tested ScreenCloud OS 3.0 and also use staged rollouts whenever rolling out new versions of ScreenCloud OS to reduce risk and ensure smooth rollouts.
While we usually roll out new versions of ScreenCloud OS in 5 weeks, for ScreenCloud OS v3.0.14 we expect to take 6-7 weeks to fully roll it out, to ensure stability and prevent any disruptions for our customers.
