Meet the Makers: Jason

Behind every screen is a team of people who care about how it looks and works. This month we're introducing Jason, who leads our Professional Services and Solutions Engineering work. When a customer's deployment needs something beyond the standard setup, from secure on-prem dashboards to wayfinding, Jason is the person who works out how to make it happen. We talked about puzzles, where workplace communication is heading, and a first career in music.

Q: What drew you to ScreenCloud, and what keeps you interested?

A: "My former COO introduced me to Jayne when ScreenCloud was looking for someone to lead its Professional Services team. During the interview process, I also pitched the idea of Solutions Engineering as a differentiator ScreenCloud could bring to the market. The interest Jayne and Mark showed in that idea made me confident ScreenCloud was an environment that saw innovation as a path to growing our enterprise segment."

Q: What's been one of your most interesting challenges at ScreenCloud?

A: "The most interesting challenge is always finding the solution that unlocks something for the client and takes their comms deployment to the next level. Whether that's secure on-prem dashboards or wayfinding, the most interesting challenge is always the next one."

Q: What do you enjoy most about turning a customer problem into a solution that fixes their problem and many others?

A: "I love a puzzle, and solving a complex problem is super rewarding for me. This role has given me the opportunity to take on our customers' most complex problems and find the most elegant way to resolve them."

Q: How do you see technology changing the way businesses communicate?

A: "As we shift from a signage company to a communications company, that vision requires us to find solutions that make communicating feel seamless for our customers' comms teams. That means looking beyond our own platform, thinking about how we fit into the entire communications journey, and understanding the outcomes those communications need to drive."

Q: What's something outside of work that you're passionate about?

A: "My first career was in music. I've worked in music production and composition, and I've even built my own instruments. Creativity is important to keep your mind adaptable, and it's an important outlet for me."
