Publish content to your screens directly from Microsoft TeamsLearn More
Display the latest Google reviews for your business and keep you and your team connected to valuable customer feedback.
Please note, if you’re using the older version of ScreenCloud (signage.screencloud.com), you can download the alternative Google Reviews app guide here.
Not only is Google one of the most powerful search engines on the web, but it’s also one of the most popular go-tos for business feedback and reviews.
The ScreenCloud Google Reviews app displays feedback shared on Google right to your digital signage screens. Showing reviews to your teams can help build validation on services provided and identify ways to improve your service.
Here’s how it works:
1.1. Simply sign in your existing ScreenCloud account and head over to our App Store using the left-hand menu.
1.2. By typing google reviews into the search box, you’ll find the Google Reviews app. Click Install App to create a new app instance.
On the next page, you’ll see a few setting options for creating and editing an instance of the Google Reviews app. Edit the Instance Name section (for example, we named our instance Tate Modern Reviews here) to enable you to find the app instance later in your content library.
In the white text box in the middle, type in the name of a business or location of your choice. You’ll see a list of results to select from.
Once you’ve chosen a location, hit Preview to see what your Google reviews will look like on a screen. If you need to make any changes, click Preview again to return to the settings panel. If you’re happy with everything, click Save to create a new app instance.
Your newly created Google Reviews app instance will be listed within your content library. To add this to one of your Channels, check out the quick tutorial below.
Please note: The app shows each review for 20 seconds before moving on to the next one. You can choose how long to show the app via the channel settings. For example, if you show the app for one minute (1:00) then the app will have time to show three reviews (20 seconds each).
How does the app pick reviews to show?
The app shows the five most recent reviews and updates whenever a new review appears.
Can I filter which reviews to show?
Currently, the app is designed to only pull in recent reviews. Our product development team is working towards adding a filter feature to choose which ratings to show on the screen. This will be available in a future version of the app.
How do customers use the QR Code?
The QR Code on the screen (highlighted red below) lets customers scan the barcode while reviews are shuffling using the Google Reviews app on their smartphone. It will bring them automatically to the reviews page for your business.
